HOW IT WORKS
The Flow Fairy Cup is designed to fold before insertion, and there are several popular folding techniques to choose from. Hold the menstrual cup in one hand and fold it using one of the folding methods. This makes it easier for insertion. You can pick the one that suits you best but we recommend the easiest the c-fold.
C-Fold:
Simply flatten the cup and bend it in the middle, bringing the two ends together to form a C-shape.
Punch-Down:
Press down on the rim with your index finger to collapse the cup, then pinch it to hold it in place.
7-Fold:
Flatten the cup and fold it so that the rim creates a 7-shape. To do this, fold the top right corner of the rim across to the opposite side of the body of the cup.
Ensure that the applicator is properly attached to the folded cup. Make sure it’s secure and ready for insertion. Find a comfortable and relaxed position for insertion, such as sitting on the toilet or standing with one leg raised. You can also try squatting.
Gently insert the applicator with the folded cup into your vaginal canal. Aim it slightly towards your tailbone and ensure it goes in smoothly. You can use a water-based lubricant if needed to ease insertion.
Once the cup is inside, push the plunger or release mechanism on the applicator to release the cup. This allows the cup to open and create a seal inside the vagina, preventing leaks. After releasing the cup, use your finger to feel around the base of the cup to ensure it has fully opened and is sealing properly. You should not feel any folds or dents.
Delicately withdraw the applicator, ensuring that you maintain the cup’s position by holding its base. Empty the contents and be sure to clean it thoroughly.
